About Tasha
Dr Tasha Koch is the co-director of Eh!woza, a community and public engagement NPO based in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. Eh!woza operates at the intersection of public engagement, youth advocacy, science communication and skills development to merge the biology of infectious disease with its social impact. Tasha is interested in translating complex scientific concepts for health agency and in how the social determinants influence the uptake of health interventions. She is an Honorary Lecturer in the Division of Med. Micro. at UCT, a Fellow at the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine, a member of Class XV of Aspen’s African Leadership Initiative and is in the first year of a modular MBA programme at UCT’s Graduate School of Business.
