About Sarah
Dr Sarah Hyder Iqbal is an independent researcher and practitioner working towards shaping a more socially responsive, inclusive science and innovation ecosystem, with a focus on broadening who gets to engage with and influence it. Based in India, Sarah's current work spans science communication, youth education, inclusive STEM, community-led research, and building communities of practice that deepen public engagement with science and health research. Sarah leads initiatives like Superheroes Against Superbugs and Science in Your City, using creative and innovative approaches to make science accessible, relevant, and rooted in everyday life. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and is a UK Chevening Fellow.
